Nice looking cars, all.

I like Pontiac F-bodies more than I should, not being much of a fan of GM corporate.

the 4th gen that took inspiration from the Banshee concept, is one of the most aerodynamically streamlined coupes ever, and I’ve always preferred the base or Formula versions over the more aggressive Trans Am with bigger spoilers and bumpers. I actually caught a picture of a firebird with a temporarily de-winged Trans Am hatch... and it is even more sleek, and low-drag. a blacked out roof (canopy-style) would be even better.

a simple ducktail “freedom spoiler” would be a nice subtle finish, if a lack of spoiler is too unresolved, although perhaps a 3-piece, rather than a single piece.

I know these cars are nothing without a V8... but I can only imagine if it had an IRS, 6-speed manual, and GMs’ DOHC 3.6 V6, smooth, modest weight, and still mid-300s on horsepower, which I think is kind of a sweet spot for the new Alpha-chassis Camaro.

An aluminum block LS mashup build from an Isuzu SUV with mild performance cam and aluminum heads, could still be quite cool, too.

a slick bodied firebird has some of the same appeal to me as a narrow-body 996 Porsche... it looks like it is flow-formed by the air it moves through... like a horizontally-traveling self-propelled  water drop, if such a thing could exist.

I agree on the ducktail spoiler idea. The Formula and base cars’ wing  look underdeveloped imo. The thing to remember in all of this is that they’re physically very large cars when compared to an ATS. An IRS 4th gen would be quite a thing though.

Just looked...

Heidts has an IRS subframe kit. Sort of like the subframe substitution in the SN95 and new-edge Mustang Cobras had, different from the other solid-axle Mustang trim models.

I would have even said it could be done with Corvette pieces, and a composite lateral leaf spring, and lever-action dampers, to mimize the shock towers.
